In its 2021 lineup, OnePlus has added its first-ever smartwatch. The OnePlus Watch offers a number of distinguishable features, including decent battery life, compared to more expensive models in the market, including Fitbit Sense or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. At this time, the One Plus Watch only supports pairing with Android smartwatches. Because the Samsung Watch 3 and OnePlus Watch 3 are in the same price range, it is perfectly acceptable to compare them both.

Design

In terms of appearance, OnePlus Watch has similarities with the durable Galaxy Watch Active 2, with dual buttons, rubber strap and minimum rounded face. If you prefer something that looks premium, the Galaxy Watch 3 is better choice. Compared its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 3 has rotatable bezel that allows you to toggle between various features. Although the Galaxy Watch 3 looks visually better, the OnePlus Watch is still appealing with more than fifty watch faces that allows users to get excellent customization options.

Internal hardware

The 1.39-inch AMOLED display has 454 x 454 resolution and the diameter of the case is 46mm, which is quite large for a smartwatch. It also has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Watch 3 has smaller 1.4-inch AMOLED display and 360 x 360 pixel resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection. The Exynos 9110 chipset ensures good performance with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There are two size options of the Galaxy Watch 3, the 45mm and 41mm. Three band options for the Galaxy Watch 3 are Sport & Hybrid, Quick Change and leather.

Features

If you are an active individual, you won’t be disappointed with the OnePlus 9 Pro with 15 fitness and 110 workout modes. It will be easy to keep your health regime. There’s built-in GPS tracking, sleep tracker, blood oxygen sensor, heart rate monitor and step tracking. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 offers automatic fitness tracking that accurately tells whether you are swimming, running, cycling or walking. It also has heart rate monitoring and SpO2 sensor. A unique feature of the Galaxy Watch 3 is the ECG recording feature.

Battery

When it comes to battery life, OnePlus often stays on top compared to many of the competitors. This also applies to its smartwatch. The OnePlus Watch has 402mAh Li-ion battery and on a single charge, the wearable could last for nearly two weeks. With the Warp Charger feature, the full charge is achievable in just 20 minutes. The Galaxy Watch 3 has only 340mAh Li-ion battery. It is much less efficient and if you use it to track sleep and long workout, the wearable could last only for two days.

Price

The OnePlus Watch is quite affordable at $159 compared to competing models. The Galaxy Watch 3 with 41mm case and LTE connectivity is available for $190, while the larger 45mm model with LTE is more expensive at $220. If you want a more affordable smartwatch with good features and extra long battery life, the OnePlus Watch is a great choice. The Galaxy Watch 3 is an ideal wearable with good performance and larger internal storage.
